“I have worked with Lynn Weddle for several years at Fabrica. She has collaborated with us in devising new education and wellbeing programmes for young people, including working with families from low income. Lynn is a highly professional individual who has been reliable, supportive and instrumental in guiding new ways of working here at the gallery. She is thoughtful, patient and experienced when it comes to her facilitation work, which is also strengthened by her expertise as an artist who is continuing her creative practice. We have also worked with Lynn as a partner in her work at Articulate, benefiting from her skills in working sensitively and knowledgeably with vulnerable people who have faced challenges in their lives. It is this combination of skills that makes her an interesting, relevant artist as well as an excellent facilitator. We look forward to continuing our collaborations with Lynn.”

Clare Hankinson, Audience Development Manager, Fabrica Gallery

“Photoworks has employed Lynn Weddle in a freelance capacity as artist facilitator, delivering a number of great projects over the past 10 years including delivery of various editions of our Photography Club with young people aged 13 - 18 (2018 exhibition featured in a the Guardian as a highlight of Brighton Photo Biennial), and for In Focus, part of the national Explorers programme with neurodiverse adults and young people. Photoworks strives to employ artists of the highest calibre to work on our learning programmes, ensuring that young people have the opportunity to take part in high quality creative engagement opportunities. One of Lynn's strengths is her creative approach, she shapes each project according to its individual audience needs and ambitions, with a desire to always move forward both as an artist and facilitator. She has a sensitive and responsive approach to her practice with others, devising programmes of activity that challenge and support participants, enabling participants to develop new skills and working with them to help them find their voice through photography. Lynn is adept at multi agency working and project management, always delivering brilliant projects within budget and on time. Lynn has always been a pleasure to work with and produces outcomes and outputs of the highest standards with her participants - no matter what age or context.”

Lynn has worked as a freelance artist /educator on many Watts Gallery Trust, Art for All Outreach projects over the past five or more years. Lynn’s breadth of skills and knowledge, combined with her gentle, patient and encouraging approach has supported many Art for All participants to achieve Bronze Arts Award and work they have been  proud of.

As an artist teaching young people on the ART FOR ALL Programme, young people have ranged from those attending mainstream schools to some who are vulnerable , socially isolated and unable to mix or attend any school including homeless and young offenders. Lynn has adapted her lesson content appropriately to differentiate and include all learners and situations, some of which have been challenging.

I have worked with Lynn in all the above situations and have always known I could rely on her to engage the young people cope whatever situation we might find ourselves in. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for an imaginative, hardworking and reliable artist.
